Armstrong Woods + Tenderloin Pics

Check out the contrasting imagery from the last two weekends:

The Armstrong Woods State Park is near Guerneville, CA. It's one of the parks Governor Schwarzenegger is going to close to balance the California budget. Are we even listening to this guy's speeches anymore? The locals had a bunch of signs in the area stores for a city council meeting and are going to fight to keep it open.

This is the front of a building a few blocks from my house. I like it when graffiti gets so thick that it covers up an entire window or sign. Gotta love the Tenderloin. We were doing a photo shoot this afternoon for the Loin's Mouth zine. I snapped these pics shortly before meeting up with the group.

Other than all of that, I got invited to a couple of house parties on Saturday night in the Lower Haight. It was another contrasting experience. One of the parties was a bunch of energetic college age kids playing beer-pong and drinking soupy green beers for St. Patrick's Day. The other was a group of dressed up post-college age kids standing around listening to a few D.J.'s in a long hallway. They were only a block apart. My buddy and I were able to hop in between and harass both groups equally throughout the night. Lot's of people were acting crazy yesterday in the city because of the St. Patrick's Day parade. All in all good fun, but I'm resting today for sure.
