Couple of cool experiences

Friday night (yesterday) there was a party at a friend of a friend's house. This party was interesting in that a few months ago this party location was all about punk kids who eyed everyone like a poser. It felt almost uncomfortable with the growing pains of youth gone bad, gone cool. This time around it was a "scene", where you paid $5.00 and then were admitted to the cool underground party with tighter bands from out of town. It felt less menacing and watered down a bit. All in all, I'm probably getting to old for those places.

The second cool experience was today's Compostmodern event hosted by the San Francisco AIGA. I'll have to blog about it in more detail soon. It ran from 9-5 and there were many great speakers who shared their views and efforts towards sustainable design. Among them were representatives from Adbusters magazine, IDEO, Johnson & Johnson and American Apparel. It was presented very well and a great inspirational experience. More to come on this subject at a later date...

Time to go to the Mission. Peace.
